There’s something about a wedding day that just hits different.

It’s not just the pretty details, the stunning dress, or the gorgeous venue (though those are fun too). It’s the feeling of it all — the real, raw, emotional stuff that happens in between.

I fell in love with photographing weddings because they let me capture people at their most honest — laughing, crying, hugging, dancing, and loving with their whole hearts.

It’s like holding onto memories for someone else — pressing pause on the best day of their lives.

My Own Wedding Regret Sparked My Passion

I got married 25 years ago. We were young, in love, and doing our best with what we had — and like so many couples at the time, I didn’t think a photographer was all that important. Honestly, we couldn’t really afford one.

And I’ve regretted that ever since.

We don’t have many photos from that day. No candids of us laughing, no sweet moments with family, no portraits we can look back on with our kids. Just a few snapshots — and a whole lot of memories that live only in our hearts.

That’s why, when I started taking photography more seriously, I knew wedding photography was where my heart belonged. I wanted to give other couples what I didn’t have — a way to relive their day, forever.

I still remember when a friend took a chance on me and asked me to photograph their wedding. I was nervous, excited, and so ready. From that moment on, I never looked back.

It’s More Than Photos — It’s Your Story

Every wedding is different. Every couple is different. No two stories are the same — and that’s what keeps me inspired. One minute I’m fluffing a dress, the next I’m wiping away tears behind my camera because dad just saw his daughter in her dress for the first time.

It’s fast-paced and full of emotion — and I love every second of it.

Because I know how much these photos will mean years from now.

I’m Here to Help You Remember It All

Being a wedding photographer means I get to preserve the moments that slip by in a blur. The stolen glances. The quiet in-between. The loud celebrations. The moments you didn’t even realize were happening.

Photos are more than photos. They’re the legacy of your love story — something you’ll pass down, hold onto, and look back on for the rest of your lives.

And That’s Why I Do This

I fell in love with photographing weddings because it combines everything I care about most: people, connection, love, storytelling, and making memories last.

It’s an honor to be invited into such a personal, sacred day — and I never take it for granted.

So to every couple who has trusted me to capture their love, and to every future couple who’s thinking about it: thank you. You’re why I do what I do — and why I love it so much. 💛

Thank You to Brian and Jenna Mcintosh for taking a chance on me back in 2021.
