Some moments are more than just another photography session. Some moments become memories you carry with you forever.Alli & Trent's proposal in Lexington, Kentucky on May 22nd was one of those moments.

I have known Alli since she was about 10 years old. I still remember the very first time I met her. I'm not exactly sure why, but we bonded right away. Over the years, I've had the privilege of watching her grow through middle school, high school, college, and now into this exciting new chapter of life. Throughout all those years, we've supported each other through so many milestones.
When Trent called and asked if I would be willing to make the drive to photograph his proposal, there was absolutely no way I could say no.
The timing worked out perfectly, and I couldn't have been more honored to be part of such an important moment.
From the very beginning, Trent knew exactly what he wanted. He had carefully planned every detail of the proposal and wanted it to be everything Alli had dreamed of. Together, they are an incredible match. Watching them support each other while building their future has been so special. As they prepare to leave their college years behind and step into the next season of life, it's easy to see how much they truly complement one another.
As the proposal day approached, there was one thing we couldn't control—the weather.
For an entire week, we watched the forecast for Lexington, Kentucky, hoping for good news. Unfortunately, the prediction never changed. Rain was expected all day.
We discussed backup plans and alternative options, but Trent knew exactly what he wanted, and he knew what Alli had envisioned. So we decided to trust the process, grab some clear umbrellas, and move forward with the plan.
As I waited for Alli to arrive, my heart was racing almost as much as Trent's.
The moment she saw me standing there, she knew exactly what was happening.
We both started crying.
There are some moments that are impossible to describe with words, and this was one of them. Watching the emotions on both of their faces as Trent asked Alli to spend forever with him is something I will never forget.
Then something incredible happened.
As Alli and I walked toward Trent, the rain stopped.
Not slowed down.
Stopped.
After hours of rain and gloomy skies, it went from pouring to completely dry.
It felt like everything aligned exactly as it was meant to.
The weather gave us just enough time to experience the proposal and capture beautiful engagement photos afterward without a single drop of rain falling on us.
It was absolutely perfect.
As a photographer, I am fortunate to witness some of life's biggest moments. Weddings, engagements, newborns, anniversaries, and growing families. But every once in a while, there is a session that means something extra on a personal level.
This was one of those moments.
Alli & Trent, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a beautiful chapter in your story. Watching your love, your excitement, and your dreams for the future unfold was something I will cherish forever.
I am beyond excited to see where life takes you both and cannot wait to watch the next chapter of your story unfold.
Congratulations on your engagement. ❤️
